Affirm Your Greatness & Support a Family

We partnered with Prison From The Inside Out to ensure decks go directly to the families of graduates from the 12 Week Self-Control program who are commited to healing and reducing recidivism. The Divine Power Affirmation Deck is used throughout the program. Upon graduation, the men select a family member to send a deck to. The founder of FTIO and myself communicate directly with the family members when they receive their deck, letting them know of resources and services for support.

Your purchase ensures we can donate a deck to a family impacted by the justice system. Politics aside, families that have someone incarcerated are hurting and are in need of finding their divine power. Navigating the justice system is no easy feat and drains us of our faith, our love, and our power.

I grew up in a family that was in and out of local jails and state prisons. 
I know first hand what it is like to not see or hug a family member for 7+ years, because your family cannot afford to drive 8+ hours each way for a brief family visit. Or being forced to decide who can (or cannot) go for the visit. I remember writing my uncle every week, feeling like I knew him, and then when he was released and I saw him in person, he felt like a stranger. I remember not being able to see my brother for months while he was in juvenile hall - he was and will always remain my first best friend - and when he returned home, we didn't have the resources and life skills to support one another. 
This is NEVER easy for families and our youth.
 
There is a massive need for healing and providing real tools to keep families connected. There are currently 161,300 people in California's Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). 161,300 families - mothers, wives, children, brothers, cousins, all hurting and wanting to be strong through this separation. They are directly impacted and missing a loved one on the inside.
